The plants are grown according to the monsoons, with two cycles of planting and harvesting per year. Fulkardabri - Raja's Selection 2025 is a domesticate landrace cannabis accession collected by Éloïse and Isabella of the Zomia Collective in West Bengal, India.

Geography

Fulkardabri is located in Cooch Behar District, West Bengal, India, within the Mekliganj landrace cannabis growing area of the North Bengal Plains growing region.

Administratively, the area belongs to Mekliganj CD block in the sub-district of Mekliganj which itself belongs to the Cooch Behar district of West Bengal state.

Collection Details

This accession was documented by Isabella & Éloïse in July 2025. A total of 410 seeds were given to Éloïse by a local cannabis grower alias 'Raja'. The seeds come from an autochthonous, cultivated landrace cannabis population of 5 plants grown by Raja near Fulkardabri village.

Raja practices culling. No hermaphroditic plants were observed in the population (0%). No male plants were present (0% male/female ratio).

Botanical Characteristics

The plants are tall, ranging between 2.5 and 4 meters in height.

In terms of morphology, the plants exhibited apical dominance and growing in a bushy pattern. The leaf shape is narrow with 9 leaflets. Serration is smooth.

The plants are light green in color, both stem and leaf. Stigmas were brown hairs.

The dried flowers from this accession were processed as ganja. The buds were big, dense and thick.

Flowering time ranges from 24 to 28 weeks.

Aroma

The aroma is recorded as mango, copper, and eucalyptus.
