Ketama 'Beldia' 1990 IBL (RSC Repro) is a landrace cannabis heirloom accession reproduced by the Real Seed Company, derived from Beldia landrace seeds originally collected in Ketama, Morocco in the early 1990s.[1]
Geography
Ketama is a region of the Rif mountain range in northern Morocco at approximately 35°N latitude. The area produces dry-sieved cannabis resin and is considered one of Morocco's premier hashish-producing regions.
Collection Details
The founder seeds of this line were collected in Ketama in the early 1990s. The line is believed to be a pure Moroccan Beldia landrace that has never been outcrossed. Several generations of intensive modern breeding work have since adapted the line for use as bud and for cultivation outdoors at northern latitudes, without introducing genetics from outside the original population.
The Real Seed Company uses the term heirloom for cannabis landraces that have undergone several generations of modern selective breeding without outcrossing.
Cultivation Details
Outdoors, this heirloom matures early, reaching harvest in August or September. Indoors, plants finish in around 7 to 8 weeks. The accession is suitable for indoor, outdoor, or greenhouse cultivation. Some growers use the term semi-auto to describe the very early maturation characteristic of this and related landraces such as Lebanese and Sinai.
Botanical Characteristics
Plants are short and compact, typically not more than 1 metre tall and reaching no more than 2 metres in height. The growth habit is consistent with unworked Moroccan landraces. Plants are intensely resinous.

Conservation Status
The accession is recorded at low conservation priority. The population is maintained ex situ and distributed through The Real Seed Company.
