Disputed

This template is used to flag claims on accession pages and other wiki content where evidence contradicts the stated information. It is distinct from {{unverified}}, which flags claims that lack supporting evidence but are not known to be incorrect.

Usage

To resolve a dispute:

Resolution Policy

Disputes may be resolved by any editor with Bureaucrat privileges or above. To resolve a dispute:

1. Present evidence on the article's Talk page
2. Obtain agreement from at least one other editor
3. Add the resolution parameters to the template
4. Update the field value if the dispute outcome requires it

Resolved disputes remain in the page source as a historical record but are visually collapsed.
